VOLUNTEER WITH US AND IMPACT LIVES

We provide volunteer opportunities for people to be active, positive contributors to their communities and societal changes. Being a volunteer for us will give you the opportunity to make a lasting positive difference in people’s mental health, experience and connect with diverse humanitarian organizations, and meet amazing people! You will also gain additional training and skills from us that will help your professional career and add to your work background. Volunteering with us can also help your mental health recovery and general wellness process. We spend a significant portion of our resources on volunteering with other organizations and on building the lives of our volunteers. Your volunteer schedule is flexible, but we expect you to be able to commit to at least 5 to 7 hours per month.

  1. Outreach Team (LOVERS ON THE STREETS). Our Lovers On The Street A.K.A "LOTS" outreach,  is intended for community service and outreach purposes, while also aiming to raise awareness about mental health, on the streets! Some examples of our outreach efforts include serving the homeless on the street or visiting shelters (when it is safe to do so), helping at food banks, helping to clean up a neighborhood during the end of Fall season, social experiment filming, etc.  Click the title to submit your volunteer application for this position.

  3. Counsellor - Mental HealthAs we grow our team and continue to strive to support the public, we could use a Mental Health Educator to help us counsel individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health regarding thoughts of suicide, addictions and substance abuse, family, parenting, and marital problems, stress management, problems with self-esteem, and issues associated with other mental health conditions. Our ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in social services, psychology, or other related programs, and experience in the mental health field or experience working with youth as an asset. Click the title to submit your volunteer application for this position.

  4. Events Coordinator.  We could use a Mental Health Educator to help us to coordinate many types of events, from parties to conferences and rally events. Our ideal candidate will have 1 years of event coordinating experience, experience working with budget for events, and a post-secondary education in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business (or other related program). Click the title to submit your volunteer application for this position.

  5. Digital and Visual PhotographerWe could use a Digital Photographer to help us capture the life of our events and team members! Our ideal candidate is a professional photographer with a digital camera. Click the title to submit your volunteer application for this position.

  6. Fundraising Coordinator. We could use a Fundraising Coordinator to work with our Events Coordinator to foster successful fundraising on behalf of Active Leaders of Love.   7. Partner Relations ManagerWe are looking for a Partner Relations Manager to build, improve and maintain relationships with the people we support and with our partners.
